NEW FEATURES
On-Demand Sync Option for Search Orders
Who can benefit from this feature: Search customers
What’s new
On-Demand Sync Button
Lawyers using Unity PM AU can now refresh their Orders from the Orders page (formerly “Search Orders”) using a new Sync button. This triggers an on‑demand sync with Unity Search so that order data is up to date without waiting for the scheduled automatic sync. The page also shows “Last updated” status messaging, and users receive clear confirmation when a sync completes or a meaningful error message with a prompt to retry if it fails.
Who is impacted
Unity Search Customers
How it works
-
The Orders page now displays:
A Sync button above the Orders table
Last updated messaging (e.g. “Last updated: 2 minutes ago / yesterday / today at [time]”)
-
Clicking Sync:
Triggers a sync with Unity Search
Refreshes the Orders list with the latest data
Shows a success message on completion (e.g. “Sync complete”)
On failure, shows a clear error with an explanation and instruction to try again

Deactivating Update Matter Plan Task Owner flow from Source
Who can benefit from this feature: ALL Customers
What’s new
Automation Bypass Control
A new automation bypass control has been introduced for the Update Matter Plan Task Owner Flow. This enhancement allows administrators to disable the automation from Custom Settings when required, preventing the flow from executing during specific updates or deployments.
How it works
The packaged Update Matter Plan Task Owner flow checks for the automation bypass control before proceeding with reassigning tasks whenever a matter’s owner changes. The automation skips the reassignment operation altogether if the bypass is enabled

Multi-party / Split Billing
Who can benefit from this feature: Billing Users
(Internal Split Billing Run Example: Split Billing Run Example )
You can now bill a matter to multiple debtors in a controlled, transparent way, while keeping your existing single‑invoice structure.
What’s new
Matter‑level split defaults
Define who should pay a bill and in what proportions directly on the matter (e.g. Party A 60%, Party B 40%). These defaults flow through automatically when you create a Pre‑Bill.-
Flexible Pre‑Bill overrides
At Pre‑Bill time you can:Add or remove debtor participants.
Adjust each participant’s percentage allocation.
The system ensures:Each participant’s share is greater than 0%.
All debtor percentages always add up to exactly 100%.
-
One invoice per debtor, logically grouped
When you finalise billing:The system generates one invoice per debtor, based on their allocation.
All related invoices are linked together as one “grouped bill”, so you can review them as a single billing event while each debtor still receives their own invoice.
-
Clear balances and reporting
Each debtor’s share and outstanding balance can be tracked separately.
Grouped invoice information (total amount, number of participants, source matter and Pre‑Bill) is available to support clear reporting and reconciliation.
How it behaves for existing billing
Matters without split definitions continue to behave exactly as they do today.
Firms not using multi‑party splits can keep billing with a single debtor per invoice, unchanged.
Safeguards & quality
The system validates that every split has valid debtor details and correct percentages before an invoice is created.
Calculations use consistent rounding rules to ensure the total of all debtor invoices always matches the original bill amount.
The feature is permission‑controlled so it can be rolled out to selected users first, without impacting others.

Longer Bank Description field for CMA
Who can benefit from this feature: Customers Using CMA
This feature improves the Controlled Money Accounts Monthly Reconciliation by adding a bank account description for each bank account within the reconciliation details. This allows users to store the full account name, since the standard Account Name field has a character limit that can result in truncated names when displayed.
What’s new
Bank Account Description Field
There is a new field for Bank Account Description that can be added to the page layouts for Controlled Money Account bank accounts
How it works
When the name of the Controlled Money Account exceeds the allowed 80 characters for the Bank Account Name, the Bank Account Description field can be used as an overflow in order to have a complete and accurate details appearing on the Controlled Money Movements report (max 255 characaters).
The Bank Account Description field is displayed in the Controlled Money Movements and Controlled Money Listing reports.

Search Manager Status Alerts
Who Can benefit from this feature: Unity Search Customers
Lawyers using Unity Search inside Unity PM AU will now see real‑time system status alerts (such as delays or outages) directly within the embedded search experience.
What’s new
-
In‑app system status banner in embedded Search
The existing Unity Search system warning banner (used for delays/outages) is now also displayed when Search is opened inside Unity PM AU (embedded iFrame context).
The banner remains visible and functional in the embedded view, consistent with the full Unity Search experience.
-
Clear visibility of incidents affecting workflow
Users are notified of known issues (e.g. degraded performance, outages) without needing to leave Unity PM or navigate to the standalone Unity Search homepage.
This helps lawyers understand when search behaviour is impacted by a broader system incident rather than a matter‑specific problem.
How it works
Whenever Unity Search has an active system status alert, the same warning banner is surfaced inside Unity PM AU wherever Unity Search is embedded.
The banner behaviour (message content, links, and dismissal/interaction where applicable) matches the standard Unity Search implementation.

IMPROVEMENTS TO EXISTING FEATURES
Running Total on Bulk EFT
Who Can benefit from this feature: All Customers

Persistent TARDIS Columns
Who Can benefit from this feature: All Customers
We’ve improved the TARDIS experience by allowing users to persist their preferred column widths.
Previously, whenever users refreshed or reopened the TARDIS page, any manual column width adjustments were lost and the table reverted to its default layout. This required users to repeatedly reconfigure columns, impacting efficiency.
With this release:
-
Per‑user column width preferences are now retained
When you resize columns in TARDIS, your preferred widths are stored and automatically reapplied the next time you open or refresh the page
These preferences are scoped to you as a user and are not shared with or imposed on other users
-
Other users’ views remain unaffected
Column adjustments you make will not change what other users see
Each user can maintain their own layout that best fits their workflow
Business Impact
Reduces repetitive manual configuration of TARDIS tables
Improves efficiency for users who regularly work with time entries, matters, and related records in TARDIS
Notes & Limitations
Saved column widths are associated with your user context/browser.
Accessing TARDIS from a different browser or device where your preferences haven’t been stored yet may result in default column widths until you adjust them again on that environment.

Renamed Invoice Debtor Field
Who Can benefit from this feature: All Customers
The Primary Contact field on Invoice has been renamed to Debtor for clarity that third parties can be allocated as Debtors on created invoices.

Aged Debtor Reporting to Exclude Invoices On Hold
Who Can benefit from this feature: All Customers
Implementation/Configuration needed: Permissions Update
Invoices marked as On Hold are excluded from the Debtors Aging (Aged Trial Balance) report while remaining financially intact. This ensures valid but disputed invoices are not incorrectly chased, improving operational efficiency for Finance and Collections teams.
For Administrators: No action required - steps completed in the New Features segment above, introducing the new On-Hold feature
BUG FIXES
Billing Rounding Rules
The rounding rules used for invoicing has now been explicitly set to use half up rounding mode to be in line with external ledger calculations.
For Administrators: No action required.
Trial Balance Run for More than 2,000 Matters
An issue has been fixed where runtime limits were hit when generating a Trial Balance Statement for a Bank Account with more than 2,000 Matters on it.
For Administrators: No action required.
Matter Escalation Trigger Bug
An issue was identified in the Matter Escalation Trigger where the trigger occasionally failed to execute correctly. This failure resulted in incorrect calculation of the Unresolved Escalation Count, which could cause ambiguity in escalation tracking and impact related business processes.
The fix ensures that when a Matter has any unresolved escalation, it cannot be moved to a Complete status.
For Administrators: No action required.
Invoice Reversals for Closed Dates
Unity PM users can now reverse an invoice even if the original invoice falls within a closed accounting period. This enables correction of historical invoices without reopening or temporarily disabling closed period settings, while ensuring that all financial adjustments are recorded in the current period.
For Administrators: Ensure to assign the Invoice Reversal Closed Accounting Period permission set to any user you want to have the ability to reverse an invoice, even if the original invoice falls within a closed accounting period (How to Assign Permission Sets to Users)
Reversals of Reconciled Transactions
A system validation rule prevented any updates to reconciled records, which caused reversal processes to fail. This blocked users from correcting errors, as reversing a transaction requires updating certain fields (such as cancellation details) on the original record.
With this update, the system now permits necessary updates to reconciled records, specifically during the reversal process. Users can successfully create reversal transactions without compromising historical data integrity or existing reconciliation controls.

Unity Search Documents Sync
We’ve fixed the issue where documents from Unity Search are failing to sync back to Unity PM.
