Trust Receipts in Unity PMS represents funds paid into the Org's trust account by a client. This record stores any relevant information for the receipt as listed below.
- Bank Account the funds were paid into
- Transaction Date/Date Received
- Payment Code/Type
- Who made the payment
- Matter
- Amount
- Description
Creating a Receipt
Receipt records can be created in two ways: via the Receipt list page (A) or from the related list under the Bank Account (B).
A. Navigate to Receipts via the Console List or App Launcher. Click New to create a new receipt.
B. From the bank account page, click New on the Receipts related list.
- This option pre-fills the bank account field when creating receipts.
Enter the relevant details of the receipt and click Save to create the receipt record.
Users can also view the receipt from the receipt object list or in the bank account.
Printing a Trust Receipt
The Print Trust Receipt button allows users to save a pdf copy of this record.
Reversing Receipts
The Reverse Receipt button can be used to nullify a receipt record as needed. A reason for reversal is required to proceed.
The Cancelled Receipt and its reversal can be tracked under the Cancellation Information section on both records.

Reversal
Reversals can be easily identified with the -X suffix at the end of the receipt number. The reversal's transaction date is automatically set to the date the original record was reversed.
Tracking Receipts from the Matter
A Trust Transaction record is automatically created when a receipt or withdrawal is recorded. Trust Transactions allows users to view any monies received or paid out from the matter page. The
